Ronald Mead, O.D.

Dr. Mead received his bachelors in 1976 from Ferris State University.  He attended optometry school at Michigan College of Optometry earning his Doctorate of Optometry in 1980. 

Dr. Mead is an active member in the Michigan Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association and serves as a Vision Source Administrator for Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.

He specializes in primary care optometry and the treatment of ocular disease such as macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and glaucoma. He also commanages post operative care for cataract surgery and treats ocular emergencies.  

Dr. Mead is married to his wife Lori, and is a father of four and grandfather of two. He enjoys spending time on the golf course, staying active studying new technologies, and chasing his dog Finn.
